MedVacay is funded by the providers listed in it. This page explains exactly what that does — and does not — change.
What providers pay for
Providers pay subscription fees for placement: paid tiers appear before unpaid listings in directory results, and higher tiers unlock richer profile sections (photos, FAQs, price ranges, video). Result ordering within the directory follows tier first, then verification recency, then name. Every page that shows ranked provider results carries a visible notice of this.
What payment can never buy
Verification. The Verified badge is produced only by credential checks — the professional license (cédula profesional) and board certification — performed against official sources and recorded with their evidence. No payment creates, accelerates, or preserves a badge, and a lapsed subscription does not remove one. The billing system and the verification system are separate by design.
One-time services
Providers can also purchase one-time services (a professionally written profile, a photo session, a video interview). These change how a profile is presented, never whether the provider is verified.
