Condesa
Condesa for medical travelers: what the area is like, how to get there and around, and the providers listed there.
Condesa wraps around two large parks — Parque México and Parque España — and is the calmest of the central visitor neighborhoods. Its shaded loops and slow traffic make it a practical base for recovery periods when a daily gentle walk is part of the plan.
Getting there and around
Count on 30–55 minutes from the airport by authorized taxi or rideshare. Metro Chilpancingo and Patriotismo (Line 9) sit on the southern edge, and Metrobús Line 1 runs along Insurgentes to the east. Most errands — pharmacies, groceries, laundry — can be done on foot along Tamaulipas and Michoacán.
Staying nearby
Lodging is mostly small hotels and apartments in restored art deco buildings; elevators are not universal, so ask ahead if stairs are a concern after surgery. The neighborhood borders Roma Norte, and the two are usually treated as one walkable area when comparing places to stay.
