Elena Reygadas’ tiny bakery is where Mexico City’s pastry obsession centers: the rol de guayaba — a soft spiral filled with guava and ricotta — plus cardamom buns, concha variations, and bread that sells out by mid-morning.
It works as a destination precisely because it is not one: you fold it into a Roma Norte morning, coffee in hand, and let the neighborhood do the rest.
Getting there
In the heart of Roma Norte on Colima; if you are staying in the neighborhood it is a morning walk, not a trip. A second branch on Havre serves the Juárez side.
If you are recovering
The line moves standing and seating is scarce — get pastries to go and take them two blocks to Plaza Río de Janeiro's benches. A gentle morning ritual: short walk, one indulgence, sit in a leafy square.
