Full mouth reconstruction is not a single procedure but a staged plan that rebuilds the teeth in both jaws using some combination of crowns, bridges, implants, and gum treatment. The sequence and timeline depend on the starting point; extensive cases are usually spread over several visits months apart.

It is typically considered by people with widespread damage — from decay, wear, trauma, or longstanding gum disease — where treating teeth one at a time no longer adds up to a working bite. Because plans differ so much between patients, the written treatment plan is the document to study, not the label.

Useful questions for a provider: a written, itemized treatment plan with the sequence of stages, how many visits it requires and how far apart, which parts are done by which clinician, what interim teeth you will have between stages, and how the plan changes if a stage does not go as expected.
