David Alfaro Siqueiros spent his last years building this: a dodecahedral hall whose every outer panel is mural, crowned inside by The March of Humanity — at some 8,000 square meters, generally counted the largest mural ever painted, on walls and ceiling that were engineered to be painted.

It is the great sight of Nápoles and among the most underrated in the city, five minutes from the hotel district around the World Trade Center. Even if the interior schedule fails you, the exterior panels reward a slow circuit.

Getting there

Beside the World Trade Center on Insurgentes Sur — for anyone staying in Nápoles it is the neighborhood landmark, a flat few blocks from most hotels. Metrobús Polyforum stops outside.

If you are recovering

The exterior can be admired in fifteen level minutes at any hour, which makes it the rare world-class sight that fits between appointments. Interior visits, when open, are a single hall — short and seated for the sound-and-light presentation.
